Hello there! My name is Shane Nelson. I am eccentric, unique and one day you will know my name. Yes, that sounds very humble, but it is my goal and if I want it to happen, I have to believe it. I don't want to be rich and famous, but I do want to have money and be well known. I want to spend that money on the individuals that need it and set a good example by proving you can live simply and still be happy. You don't need a nice car, a butler or a huge mansion with many rooms that you will never step foot in. My goal is to pave the path for the neo-celebrity. I want to show the world that the desperation that comes with coveting the lives of celebrities keeps people from actually living!
I have had many goals throughout the years, many of which have changed drastically. I breezed through high school with the goal of playing college football and becoming a high school teacher. I obtained that goal, playing running back at LaGrange College until tearing my ACL my freshman year. After rehabbing, I hurt myself again and decided to put football behind me. Around the same time a close friend convinced me to go to a concert that I had no interest in. I had the pleasure of seeing Bassnectar and Pretty Lights play a two-night show in Alpharetta, Georgia which changed my life forever. I transferred to Georgia Southern University and changed my major to filmmaking. Now I travel all over the country to witness the spectacle of live music and experience the community and love found within. This site will serve as a hub for me to post my music experiences and help bring those memories to you lovely people! I will also be posting my personal videos and collaboration projects that I have worked on.
One of the biggest factors of inspiration for this website will be you! After going through school for film I have realized that a majority of everything produced for television, especially advertisements, are made to sell a product and convince you that you aren't good enough. They want you to believe that you NEED their product to be a better person and to fit in in society. It is everywhere! Television, movies, the Internet, all of these things are trying to sell you something. I have to admit, I'm trying to sell you something too. I want to convince you that you're better than what they think! They want you to believe that happiness comes with being rich and famous. You have to live the celebrity lifestyle in order to be happy! Ladies and gentlemen, I am here to tell you that this notion is completely absurd! The world is so messed up and people are motivated by absurd things. People think they need to have the newest trend, the most "likes" on Facebook, or some sort of 15 minutes of fleeting fame. YOU DON'T! There is a whole world out there for you to conquer! Log out of Facebook, turn off your phone, actually look people in the eye for once and go do something! The world is yours!!!!!
